JustWrite Michigan is for students in grades 6-12

Inspiring the next generation of storytellers through creative writing competitions, literacy, mentorship, and community.

JustWrite Michigan is an exciting creative writing program designed for 6-12th grade students across the state. As part of the JustWrite program, it provides young writers with the opportunity to showcase their storytelling skills in a fast-paced, genre-based competition. Through timed writing challenges, expert feedback, and a supportive literary community, students build confidence, enhance their craft, and connect with fellow writers.

JustWrite Michigan promotes literacy not only through creative expression but also by getting books into the hands of young readers, ensuring that students have access to the stories that inspire and empower them.

The 2025-2026 Season will open in August, we hope you join us then!
